Teddy

On Christmas day to my surprise underneath the tree
Was a bran new teddy bear made specifically for me

With Two Black eyes and a little button nose
He curls up next to me in bed whenever I may doze

Teddy lost an eye one day while playing in the yard
Then he lost his fuzzy ear to our Saint Bernard

I was very hard on Teddy so Grandma was always sewing
Chunks of fur where falling off signs of wear where showing

Then one day I looked at him and thought to myself
"Teddy needs to retire to his special shelf"

I will not give him away I will never pass him on
Maybe I'll have him forever maybe not so long

I will not give up my teddy bear  not 'til I am ready
No matter how many scars he has he will always be my Teddy
