They fell down
Crashed on our life,

The plane slit
just like a knife.

Trembling people
Who lost all hope,

Frozen with fear
Unable to cope.

The cloud rose up,
Up in the air

Ashes floated
And tangled in hair.

Skies darkened until
unable to look,

Fifty-six minutes
Was all that it took.

Frozen with fear

Trembling people

Prayers flew up
Just like the smoke,

While the rest of the country
Still awoke.

The thing that happened
That changed the town,

Crashing down on our life
They fell down.
